In July 2027, the international democratic education community will gather on Jeju Island for IDEC@APDEC Jeju Korea 2027.
Bringing together children and young people, educators, families, researchers and advocates from across Korea, the Asia-Pacific and around the world, the gathering will celebrate and explore democratic and alternative approaches to education.
Against the backdrop of almost 30 years of alternative education practice in Korea, IDEC@APDEC Jeju will create an important opportunity to share experiences across borders, strengthen connections and explore the role of democratic education in shaping the future of learning.
